Today Logistics and Supply Chain is extending its arm like never in industrial scenario thereby calling in for vibrant changes in the academic pedagogy as well, with strong industry impact. In current framework of every process plant or warehouse operative system, various "Supply Chain" functions can be integrated so vividly without any overlap, complementing each other to generate "Supply Chain Surplus" throughout the value chain of any manufacturing or service industry. Deriving 'Surplus' in value chain is a cost-effective productivity scale-up, to say the least.

More so in recent years, the vibrant and progressive developments in Logistics and Supply Chain domain encompass a transparent alignment and integration of all functions; R&D, manufacturing, inventory, warehousing, logistics and distribution along with rapid growth of transportation facilities, building national highways network, modernising and expansion of sea ports and airports and construction of logistics parks. This radical process from within, pave way in generating huge demand for skilled human resources in every business vertical. The need of the hour in industrial value chain is to quickly fill-in the skill gap by providing knowledgeable and qualitative human resources in the field of Logistics and Supply Chain to balance the demand-supply ratio at the fastest pace ever!

Confederation of Indian Industry has been pioneering this initiative in India with a dedicated Centre of Excellence - CII Institute of Logistics, in Logistics and Supply Chain Management with Industry-Institutional partnerships besides various advocacy initiatives involving National Logistics Policy and Sectoral Image Building Activities, at national level. As a part of such key initiatives, CII Institute of Logistics in collaboration with global premier educational institute IIT Madras, is delighted to unfold a Five-day Residential Certificate Program in Logistics and Supply Chain Management with a blend of Industry-Institution knowledge base, through a seamless effort to invigorate participants conceptual and analytic ability and synergise upshot of inter functional departments in manufacturing and service industries with a win-win outcome in their respective portfolio with defined metrics.
